SnackBox Studios

Casa La Doniccé’s SnackBox Studios is a fully operational production and audio recording suite located in Los Angeles, CA. The outfit consists of a one-man workforce focused on original composition and the use of live instrumentation recorded through the suite's high quality analog signal chain.

The setup employs a wide combination of acoustic and electronic instruments in conjunction with rare custom and modified processors and effects including both discrete and integrated circuitry using vacuum tubes, transformers, and bucket brigade sequencers to cultivate a distinct vintage quality which is highly sought in modern recording due to it's perceived 'analog warmth'.

The studio interfaces the physical processing capabilities of this boutique, vintage and modern combination of analog hardware with a selection of high-grade DSP equipment and fully-loaded digital workstations, thus offering the best of both worlds through this hybrid variety of audio production methods.

Housed in an individual micro-complex, the studio is the home of The Mighty Mighty Snack Box Brigade, who also serve as the engineering staff and session band for all Casa La Doniccé and Snack Box featured projects. The company may be small in size but it’s big when it comes to providing services including sound effects, voice-over, musical composition & scoring, live vocal & instrument recording, audio production and mixing.

Capitão Doniccé

Founder, Stylés Akira, is a veteran of the recording industry, having worked over a decade at firms including Sony Music, Bad Boy Entertainment, Def Jam and MTV Networks. He specializes in composition and production with a heavy emphasis on classical performance as well as—but not limited to—genres including Bossa Nova, Samba, Indie Rock, Hip-Hop, Electronic, Dance, Singer-Songwriter, and Alternative. His current musical catalog consists of over 250 original compositions which are open for licensed contract.
